What was your health and fitness like before starting the Fernwood online program, and what is it like now?

My health and fitness before the program was not great. I was overweight. I tried to eat well and exercise but I wasn’t getting results.

I was very determined to lose my weight for my holiday to Hawaii. Before the program I was attending the gym three times a week. During the program I started going to the gym six times a week. I added an extra PT session each week, increased my Functional Fit classes to two per week and started doing studio cycle as well. I feel my fitness levels have greatly improved and I have more energy through my classes.

Why did you choose Fernwood and the 28 Day Breakthru over other gyms or programs?

I chose the 28 Day Breakthru program because I was already a Fernwood member and I liked the convenience of having online help.

What was or has been the most challenging thing?

The most challenging part was trying new food and cooking different food for the family.

What aspects of your club do you enjoy most and why?

I’m a foundation member of Fernwood Shellharbour and the gym is now my second home. I love going to the gym! We have great team working there that are always willing to help, and instructors that push you to do more when you need that extra motivation.

What has been the biggest thing you have learnt thus far?

I have learnt to eat smaller meals and eat the right snacks.

What do you think was your key to success?

My key to success was seeing the results each week.

How has losing weight, getting fit and being healthy changed your life?

I have learnt to eat smaller meals and the right snacks. I am now closer to a healthy weight range, have improved my fitness, feel so much healthier and have increased my confidence levels.

What advice would you give to someone thinking about joining Fernwood or doing the online program you participated in?
